Job summary

Stonewater Housing Association seeks a Director of Building Safety & Compliance to lead safety culture nationwide across colleagues and customers. You will oversee the Building Safety & Compliance teams and drive governance, auditing and policy development to meet statutory requirements.

The role manages Health & Safety activities, coordinates H&S contracts, and reports on performance while aligning with the Safety, Growth & Investment Directorate.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety inspection processes across housing portfolios.
• Knowledge of English regulatory framework for health and safety.
• Ability to develop policies and governance in a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Health & Safety Group and Building Safety & Compliance teams.
• Deliver safety culture and ensure statutory compliance and auditing.
• Coordinate policies, governance and reporting across directorate.
• Manage budgets and H&S contracts in line with targets.
• Line-manage team members and participate in business continuity.
