Job summary

Our client is seeking a Chief Engineer - Battery Systems to lead the complete battery programme from cell to pack and drive integration across customer sites. The role requires owning the engineering roadmap, governance and delivery of energy storage solutions in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a STEM degree and have a proven track record in senior engineering leadership with deep experience in battery module/pack design, BMS/EMS integration, and cross-functional

Qualifications

Requires STEM degree and senior leadership experience.
Experience with battery pack design and development.
Experience delivering prototype or low-volume hardware programmes to deadlines.
Strong technical programme management across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Provide overall technical leadership and engineering strategy across the battery programme, from cell through module, pack and deployment.
Provide high level programme management of Battery Systems development at module and pack level and lead integration projects with customers.
Set and maintain engineering standards, processes and governance across the organisation.
Oversee BMS/EMS integration, testing and validation strategy.
Own technical risk management, engineering roadmap and cross-programme delivery planning.
Act as senior technical point of contact for customers and key stakeholders.
Identify new technologies and potential IP, support patent applications.
