Job summary

DNV is seeking experienced Senior and Principal Consultants to deliver technical due diligence for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and related energy storage projects across a hybrid UK-based role. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, shape services, and drive client engagements from proposal to delivery.

Qualifications

• Considerable experience working in a consulting environment or for a developer, with a specialty in battery storage, renewables industry or infrastructure electrification
• Technical expertise in power industry (electrical systems and/or renewables projects) or direct experience of BESS infrastructure deployment
• Experience in technical due diligence projects
• Technical expertise including planning and grid applications, technology evaluation, site evaluation, risk management, safety/fire assessments, contract analysis and financial model reviews
• Experience in leading complex projects and/or workstreams with strong reporting and analysis skills
• Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, capable of building professional relationships based on trust and integrity
• Commercially minded with experience developing client relationships and identifying opportunities
• A valid UK Driving Licence would be highly advantageous for site visits

Responsibilities

• Project management: lead due diligence and advisory projects, guiding consultants to achieve objectives
• Project delivery: lead work packages in battery storage projects and support global projects
• Thought leadership: develop material and represent the company at events for industry engagement
• Business Development: engage with senior stakeholders to identify and develop opportunities
• Proposal development: develop proposals based on client discussions or tenders
• Communication: establish and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
• Technical leadership and mentoring: support development of others through training and coaching
