Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking a Head of Technical - Batteries/Power to lead the technical team on a UK-wide basis, driving growth in batteries, power technologies and design-in opportunities. You will own the design funnel, develop supplier relationships and partner with sales to convert opportunities into production, while operating at both strategic and technical levels.

This senior post requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge and a commercial mindset to deliver revenue growth

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge in batteries or power electronics.
Experience designing-in electronic components/products.
Experience in franchise distribution or electronic component distribution.
Proven leadership of technical and/or sales teams.
Strong commercial understanding to drive revenue and design wins.
Experience managing strategic supplier relationships.
Engineering/ Electronics degree desirable.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Able to operate at strategic and technical levels.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Technical team, setting KPIs and driving performance across the design funnel.
Develop and convert a sustainable pipeline of design opportunities into design wins and production.
Act as the technical expert across batteries, power and associated technologies.
Work closely with Sales, Account Management and suppliers to identify and convert new opportunities.
Provide technical support throughout the customer design cycle, from evaluation and testing through to production.
Develop supplier growth plans and manage key supplier relationships and QBRs.
Identify gaps within the product portfolio and develop strategies to introduce new suppliers and technologies.
Build relationships with senior decision-makers across customers and suppliers.
Monitor market and technology developments to identify new opportunities.
Support customer visits, supplier training, webinars, exhibitions and marketing campaigns.
Report on technical activity, pipeline development and commercial performance to the SMT and Board.
