Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking a Head of Automation and AI to define and execute the organisation's automation and AI strategy, governance and assurance, and to identify high‑value opportunities. The role leads enterprise automation services, AI governance, incubation, Workplace AI, ORAI, and associated change adoption, with accountability for measurable benefits and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding enterprise automation, digital transformation or AI programmes in a complex organisation.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and senior specialists.
• Ability to establish governance and assurance for emerging technologies.
• Experience with third-party suppliers and commercial relationships.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise automation and AI long term plan.
• Own the automation and AI portfolio and prioritised initiatives.
• Guide AI incubation and innovation through structured incubator capability.
• Establish AI governance, policy and control frameworks.
• Scale AI platforms and reusable capabilities across the organisation.
• Drive business engagement and organisational adoption.
• Ensure benefits realisation and value delivery.
