Job summary

WWF-UK is seeking its first dedicated AI & Automation Lead to shape how we use AI responsibly and effectively in support of our mission. Reporting to the Director of Technology, you’ll lead our AI and automation roadmap, turning opportunities into practical solutions that improve productivity, supporter engagement, fundraising, decision-making and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading or delivering AI, automation or digital transformation initiatives within a complex organisation.
• Experience developing, configuring or operationalising AI-enabled solutions with governance and risk controls.
• Knowledge of AI governance, ownership, evaluation and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with responsible AI principles, including privacy, fairness and transparency.
• Experience working with security, data protection and risk specialists on AI risks.
• Understanding of the Microsoft AI ecosystem and related deployment considerations.
• Software development experience for AI/automation projects using formal practices.
• Ability to translate opportunities into clear priorities, business cases and delivery plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead WWF-UK's AI and automation roadmap and identify high-value use cases.
• Develop business cases, coordinate pilots and guide implementations.
• Establish governance for responsible AI with clear ownership and testing processes.
• Collaborate across data, security, privacy and technology teams to manage risks.
• Coach and develop colleagues; manage suppliers and delivery resources.
