Job summary

Sciensus is seeking a registered Chemotherapy Nurse in Dundee to deliver high-quality oncology care and support patients through their treatment journey. You will work autonomously administering haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy, while also mentoring clinicians and contributing to service development across the region.

Travel throughout Dundee and surrounding areas is required; a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC and eligible to practice in the UK.
• Experience administering chemotherapy and oncology medications in hospital or community settings.
• Competent in IV administration, cannulation, and phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Administer a range of chemotherapy treatments per care plan.
• See 1–6 patients daily, document adverse drug events per protocol.
• Travel within Dundee region; support and develop other clinicians to raise standards.

Chemotherapy Nurse Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom

Our team within the Scotland are seeking a registered 'Chemotherapy Nurse' to deliver high-quality oncology care, support patients through their treatment journey, and contribute to the ongoing development of our field-based clinical workforce.

This role is a unique blend of hand-on patient care and clinical development. You’ll work directly with patients receiving chemotherapy while also supporting and developing other clinicians—helping to raise standards, build confidence, and embed best practice across services.

It’s an ideal opportunity for nurses who enjoy variety, autonomy, and the chance to influence both patient outcomes and clinical capability.

Working autonomously you will administer a range of haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments, as defined in the patient’s care plan whilst sustaining professional standards.

Seeing between 1 - 6 patients per day, you will record all clinical data and document any adverse drug events via the correct protocol. Long lasting relationships will be built with patient’s, carers and stakeholders to aide and support treatment and recovery.

A full UK driving licence is essential as you will travel throughout a regional area (covering Dundee and surrounding areas).

What key skills do I need to apply:

To be successful in this role you will need to be fully competent administrating a range of chemotherapy drugs and also have the following skills and attributes:

• Be registered with the NMC
• Hold a chemotherapy delivery qualification - preferably a SACT passport
• Be experienced administering oncology medications in a hospital or community setting
• Be confident in clinical assessment, IV administration, chemotherapy delivery, cannulation, and phlebotomy
• Passionate about person-centred care and supporting others
