Job summary

Sciensus is seeking a registered chemotherapy nurse to join our south west team. You will deliver high-quality oncology support, work with patients through their treatment journey, and help develop our field-based clinical workforce.

You will administer chemotherapy, record data, manage adverse events, and travel across Plymouth and surrounding areas with a full UK driving licence. The role blends hands-on care with mentoring colleagues to raise standards and confidence.

Qualifications

• Be registered with the NMC.
• Hold a chemotherapy delivery qualification (SACT passport preferred).
• Experience administering oncology medications in hospital or community settings.
• Competent in clinical assessment, IV administration, chemotherapy delivery, cannulation and phlebotomy.
• Passionate about person-centred care and supporting others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality oncology care and support patients through their treatment journey.
• Administer a range of haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments.
• Record clinical data and document adverse drug events.
• Travel across a regional area (Plymouth and surrounding areas) with a full UK driving licence.
• Mentor and develop other clinicians to raise standards and confidence.
• Build lasting relationships with patients, carers and stakeholders.

Job description

Our team within the South West are seeking a registered'Chemotherapy Nurse'to deliver high-quality oncology care,support patients through their treatment journey, and contribute to the ongoingdevelopment of our field-based clinical workforce.

This role is a unique blend of hands-on patient care and clinicaldevelopment. You’ll work directly with patients receiving chemotherapy whilealso supporting and developing other clinicians—helping to raise standards,build confidence, and embed best practice across services.

It’s an ideal opportunity for nurses who enjoy variety, autonomy,and the chance to influence both patient outcomes and clinical capability
Working autonomously you will administer a range of haematological and solidtumour chemotherapy treatments, as defined in the patient's care plan whilstsustaining professional standards.

Seeing between 1 - 8 patients per day, you will recordallclinical data and document any adverse drug events via the correctprotocol. Long lasting relationships will be built with patient's, carersand stakeholders to aide and support treatment andrecovery.

A full UK driving licence is essential as youwill travel throughout a regional area(covering Plymouth and surrounding areas)
