Job summary

Pertemps Medical Professionals are recruiting for Chemotherapy and Specialist Nurses for clients’ sites across the country for permanent roles.

The role combines hands-on chemotherapy delivery with education and development of the clinical workforce. Requires NMC registration and a chemotherapy delivery qualification (SACT passport preferred). A full UK driving licence is essential for regional travel.

Qualifications

  • Registered nurse with strong chemotherapy and oncology experience.
  • Experience delivering chemotherapy and caring for patients in hospital or community settings.
  • Autonomous clinician able to educate and mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and manage patient treatment plans.
  • Record clinical data and report adverse drug events.
  • Support and develop other clinicians to raise standards across services.
  • Travel regionally in the UK; hold a full driving licence.

Pertemps Medical Professionals are currently recruiting for Chemotherapy and Specialist Nurses for our clients’ sites across the country for permanent roles.

What we are looking for:
  • A registered Nurse with strong Chemotherapy and Oncology experience to deliver high-quality oncology care, support patients through their treatment journey, and contribute to the ongoing development of our field-based clinical workforce.
  • This role is a unique blend of hands-on patient care and clinical development. You’ll work directly with patients receiving chemotherapy while also supporting and developing other clinicians—helping to raise standards, build confidence, and embed best practice across services.
  • It’s an ideal opportunity for nurses who enjoy variety, autonomy, and the chance to influence both patient outcomes and clinical capability.
  • Working autonomously, you will administer a range of haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments, as defined in the patient's care plan, whilst sustaining professional standards.
  • Seeing between 1 - 8 patients per day, you will record all clinical data and document any adverse drug events via the correct protocol.
  • Long-lasting relationships will be built with patients, carers and stakeholders to aid and support treatment and recovery.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential as you will travel throughout a regional area (covering the region).

What key skills do I need to apply:
  • Be registered with the NMC
  • Hold a chemotherapy delivery qualification - preferably a SACT passport
  • Be experienced in administering oncology medications in a hospital or community setting
  • Be confident in clinical assessment, IV administration, chemotherapy delivery, cannulation, and phlebotomy
  • Passionate about person-centred care and supporting others
