Job summary

Sciensus is seeking an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse to join our Southampton team. This field-based role is 37.5 hours per week on a 12-month contract, travelling across the Southampton region to support patients receiving oncology therapies.

You will record clinical data, document adverse events, and mentor fellow clinicians while delivering exceptional patient care. A full UK driving licence is essential for regional travel.

Qualifications

• RGN with Part 1 NMC registration.
• Chemotherapy (SACT) delivery qualification.
• Experience administering oncology meds in hospital or community settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chemotherapy and oversee patient care in the field.
• Record all clinical data and report adverse events per protocol.
• Travel across the Southampton region to cover patients.
• Support development of fellow clinicians and contribute to clinical excellence.

To help us be successful in our mission we are looking for a Chemotherapy Nurse to join our Southampton team.

37.5 hours per week / Field-Based / 12 Month Contract

At Sciensus, you'll work alongside specialist hospitals and treatment centres to support patients receiving oncology therapies, helping them access treatment safely and confidently. This unique role combines direct patient care with practice development, giving you the opportunity to make a lasting impact on both patient outcomes and clinical excellence across our nursing teams.

Seeing between 1 - 8 patients per day, you will record all clinical data and document any adverse drug events via the correct protocol.

A full UK driving licence is essential as you will travel throughout a regional area (covering Southampton and surrounding areas)

Who we're looking for

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate oncology professional who is committed to delivering outstanding patient care while helping others develop their clinical expertise.

Essential experience/skills:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN), Part 1 NMC Register.
• Recognised Chemotherapy (SACT) Delivery Qualification.
• Experience administering oncology medications within a hospital or community setting
• IV administration, cannulation and phlebotomy expertise.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of oncology therapies and patient pathways.
• Commitment to person-centred care and clinical excellence.

Desirable experience/skills:

• Clinical teaching, coaching or mentoring experience.
• Community nursing experience
