Rolls-Royce in Derby is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Chemist to join the Test & Experimental Manufacturing Engineering team on site. You will manage the chemical cleaning process line, build and maintain process instructions, and work with shop-floor operators to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Candidates typically hold a Master's in Chemistry with 3+ years or equivalent experience in manufacturing; SAP experience welcomed; strong communication and leadership in a multi-skilled

Formación

• Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in a Chemistry environment, OR 9+ years of experience in a Chemistry environment.

Responsabilidades

• Create, maintain and control local Process Instruction Manuals (PIMs), applying a sound understanding of material properties and chemical interactions.
• Act as the first point of contact for technical issues relating to process washing.
• Provide technical advice on processing methods and application techniques.
• Train personnel to assess and authorise parts for cleaning in accordance with PIMs, and to record the required information in SAP.
• Lead improvement projects through the relevant programme management gates.
• Apply company control standards, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.
• Use knowledge and experience of CS54 Process Safety Management to support safe, compliant operations.
• Introduce newly approved products in response to legislative changes and company directives.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation, and complete chemical risk assessments.
