Job summary

Chemring Energetics UK is seeking a Process Support Engineer to help design, develop and support safe manufacturing processes for new and existing products. You will work with production, quality and engineering teams to ensure processes meet quality, cost and delivery targets while maintaining a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge (Green Belt desirable).
• NEBOSH qualification desirable.
• MS Office applications and Teams proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design plant and process layouts with Product Development Engineering and Drawing Office.
• Lead risk assessments for manufacturing processes and trials.
• Implement lean manufacturing methods and change control adherence.
• Review products using Process FMEA and data analysis for improvements.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain BOMs and data packs; prepare operating instructions and training.
• Support Production Readiness Reviews and handovers to manufacturing.
• Provide technical assessments on supplier and material changes.
