Chemical Research and Compliance Manager
About the Role:

Burton Recruitment is working exclusively with an award-winning, growing family business operating internationally across 40+ countries. Due to continued expansion, they're seeking a Chemical Research and Compliance Manager to spearhead product development and international regulatory compliance for their chemical product range.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead international compliance activities across EU, Australia, New Zealand, and expanding into new markets
  • Drive research and development of new chemical products (70% of role long-term)
  • Review and achieve regulatory approvals for existing product portfolio
  • Manage formaldehyde restrictions and alternative product development
  • Work closely with international distributors on market-specific requirements
Essential Requirements:
  • Chemistry degree OR specific industry experience with chemicals/disinfectants
  • Experience with formaldehydes, disinfectants, surfactants, and acids
  • Strong understanding of international chemical regulations and compliance
  • Background in industrial cleaning, detergents, or similar chemical sectors
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
