Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking an enthusiastic Chef Trainer to supervise and train trainee chefs in a leading Further Education team in Greater Manchester. You will guide students in practical kitchens, demonstrating modern cookery and maintaining high safety standards.

The role focuses on hands-on coaching, monitoring progress, and supporting learners to achieve their learning goals in a supportive environment. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong practical culinary skills and knowledge of modern catering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and support learners in FE environment.
• A DBS check will be required or can be applied for by Eden Brown.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support trainee chef students during practical kitchen sessions.
• Demonstrate professional cookery techniques and kitchen procedures.
• Provide practical coaching to help students develop culinary skills.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote food hygiene, health and safety standards in the training kitchen.
• Assist teaching staff with planning and delivering practical training activities.
• Maintain a well-organised, safe training kitchen.
• Encourage teamwork and professional conduct among learners.
