Job summary

HIT Training is seeking a Chef Trainer to inspire and train apprentices across on-site and remote sessions, supporting learners in a dynamic Chef Academy. The role combines home-based planning with on-site kitchen visits, enabling flexible leadership and hands-on teaching in a growing culinary training provider across the London area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background (Head/Sous/Chef de Partie or Kitchen Manager), good digital literacy, and a drive to help learners

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering training in professional kitchens.
• Willingness to work toward Level 2 English and maths.
• Strong tech aptitude for virtual learning and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and Teach apprentices in kitchens and online.
• Hands-on training at the Chef Academy and culinary techniques.
• Develop future talent by guiding learners to their goals.

What You'll Do:

• Inspire and Teach: Use your kitchen expertise to train apprentices both in their kitchens and online.

• Develop Future Talent: Engage with new apprentices to understand their goals and learning needs and guide their development.


• Functional Skills: Guide apprentices in the importance of English and maths in kitchen operations.


• Employer Collaboration: Build relationships with employers, providing feedback on apprentice progress.


• Plan and Organise: Manage your schedule from home, utilising Google Suite and internal systems for smooth administration.

About You

We’re looking for passionate chefs ready to share their expertise and make a real impact on the culinary industry. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• A background as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie, or Kitchen Manager, with a passion for passing on your knowledge.


• Strong grasp of technology for virtual training and managing administrative tasks.


• Willingness to work towards Level 2 (GCSE) English and maths, with support provided.


• A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle for regional travel.
