Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager at Cold Aston Primary School to provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meals for pupils and staff. The role is term-time only with 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and £13.65 per hour. It is designed for flexibility and excludes weekend work.

The position involves leading kitchen operations, ensuring safety and quality standards, and coordinating with the client to exceed expectations. DBS check will be completed as part of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Term-time only – working 52 weeks per year
• No weekends

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations are met
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for excellent food and service with the client and customers
• Manage day-to-day running of the location and supervise teams including inventories, budgets, and action plans
• Be the main point of contact for the client in the school and implement regular improvements
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with your line manager to ensure targets are met
• Train and develop teams, ensuring training is completed and performance is managed
