Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager for Brighton Waltham Primary School. This term-time only role offers 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends, at a pay rate of £16 per hour. You will supervise the site team, manage inventories and budgets, and ensure high standards of food safety and quality.

The role includes being the main client contact at the school and supporting continuous improvements while maintaining Caterlink’s commitment to safeguarding and welfare through a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Must have catering experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure health and safety, food safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for excellent food and service.
• Manage day-to-day running of location, supervise teams, inventories and budgets.
• Serve as main client contact in your school and implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line manager.
• Train and develop teams, ensuring training and performance management.
