Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd is seeking a Chef Manager for a primary school in Reigate to oversee daily kitchen operations and lead a small team of three. The role is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, term-time only (40 weeks) with a £26,500 salary and on-site meals.

You will manage day-to-day kitchen tasks, supervise food safety, allergens, stock and ordering, and build rapport with staff, pupils and parents while upholding high standards of fresh, nutritious meals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach to kitchen tasks.
• Understanding of good food hygiene and health & safety.
• Experience as Sous Chef or Chef Manager within education is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Feed 300 students daily.
• Lead and motivate a team of 3.
• Build rapport with children, staff and parents.
• Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including allergens, stock and ordering.
