Job summary

Caterlink is recruiting a Chef Manager to oversee the kitchen at Horley Infants School. The role runs 25 hours per week, 8:30-13:30, Monday to Friday, with a rate of £14.38 per hour pro rata over the year. You will lead a team of 3, follow recipes, and adhere to allergy guidelines.

Responsibilities include daily cooking, stock control, ordering, and maintaining health and safety records. DBS checks and references are required; right to work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous management of a kitchen is essential ideally in a school environment.
• Be customer focused and approachable at all times.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control the kitchen operations to ensure high quality food and service.
• Assist in preparing and managing the Annual Budget and food cost targets.
• Order foodstuffs and manage stock, ensuring cost-effective purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and proper records.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with the client and school staff.
