Job summary

Impact Food Group is seeking a Chef Manager to lead a high-volume kitchen serving hundreds of students in a Meopham-area school. The role is Monday to Friday, 6:30am–4pm, 42 weeks per year (term time, inset days and three additional weeks). Salary is £33,000 to £35,000 per annum.

You will manage a catering team, plan menus, control stock and budgets, and ensure food hygiene and safety standards. The job offers a hands-on leadership position with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a kitchen, ideally in schools or high-volume catering environments.
• Proven ability to cook fresh, seasonal food at high volumes.
• Strong people management and team leadership skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and developing your catering team
• Preparing and serving fresh, seasonal meals at high volume
