Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Chef Manager to oversee two locations in the Leicester area, delivering breakfast and lunch services, vending, and hospitality. You will lead a team of 4-5 staff and ensure high standards across both sites.

The role runs Monday to Friday with full responsibility for menu planning, cost control, health and safety, and client relations in a contract catering environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef Manager within the contract catering sector.
• Excellent creative culinary skills.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Menu Planning and Execution – plan menus and oversee food prep and presentation.
• Employee Management – recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff.
• Inventory and Cost Control – monitor stock and control costs.
• Customer Relations – liaise with clients and maintain service standards.
• Health and Safety Compliance – ensure regulations and safety protocols are followed.
• Budget and Financial Management – manage kitchen budgets and cost savings.
• Menu Development and Innovation – stay updated on trends and innovate menus.
• Compliance and Documentation – maintain records and regulatory compliance.
