Job summary

Impact Food Group is seeking a Chef Manager at Graveney School (SW17 9BU) to run a high-volume school kitchen Monday to Friday, 6:30am–4pm (45 hours/week) across 42 weeks per year. Salary £45,000 per annum. You’ll lead a catering team, plan menus, manage stock and budgets, and ensure top hygiene and safety standards.

The role focuses on delivering fresh, seasonal meals to hundreds of students daily, with strong leadership, organisation, and stakeholder relationships as key requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a kitchen, ideally in schools or high-volume catering environments.
• Proven ability to cook fresh, seasonal food at high volumes.
• Strong people management and team leadership skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and pride in maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop the catering team.
• Prepare and serve fresh, seasonal meals at high volume.
• Plan menus, manage stock, and control budgets.
• Ensure all food hygiene, safety, and compliance standards are met.
• Build strong relationships with onsite clients and stakeholders.
