The Role

We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team. You will have full operational and financial responsibility for your school's catering facility, focusing on delivering high-quality food and service, and making this one of the best school catering offerings in the area.

Your Responsibilities

1. Lead, develop, coach, train, and motivate your kitchen team.
2. Manage the catering operation, including stock, food, and labour costs.
3. Ensure consistency in food and service standards for students and staff.
4. Drive sales through monthly promotions and added-value events.
5. Manage and improve controllable costs.
6. Maintain company systems, procedures, and comply with legislation.
7. Conduct regular audits to ensure standards are met.

About You

We are looking for someone passionate about delivering exceptional food and service in schools, with the following skills and experience:

1. OND or HND qualification (not essential but advantageous).
2. Experience using fresh ingredients in a craft-based environment.
3. Knowledge of health and safety practices.
4. Financial understanding of gross profit and sales targets.
5. Experience in a similar environment.

Working Hours and Benefits

This role offers fantastic hours, working Monday to Friday during school term time, with no late nights. You will work 40 hours per week across approximately 40 weeks per year, aligning with school terms, leaving you plenty of time off.
