Job summary

Compass Group UK&I in Defence operations is seeking a Chef to deliver high-quality food and supervise kitchen teams within a Defence facility. The role involves menu development, stock control, and upholding strict hygiene and safety standards.

The successful candidate will have City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications, experience in similar Chef roles, and a flexible approach to shift patterns.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes and culinary concepts.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback and drive improvements.
• Support creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Represent Defence and maintain brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
