You will prepare and cook high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring top food safety and presentation standards for leisure and corporate guests alike.

The role requires experience in a restaurant setting, strong culinary techniques, and the ability to lead a section during service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation in a restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
• Experience with meal preparation across various cuisines is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Good understanding of kitchen equipment and hygiene practices.
• Previous experience in a busy restaurant is preferred.
• Ability to serve guests courteously during service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality in meal preparation
• Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
• Ensure all food served meets the establishment’s presentation and taste standards
• Support junior kitchen staff and provide guidance where necessary
