Job summary

Wellington College in Berkshire is recruiting a Chef de Partie to join Sodexo’s culinary team. You will help deliver high-quality daily dining and support events for students, staff and VIP guests, with a focus on exceptional food and service.

The role offers term-time hours, 40 hours per week, and shifts across early and late patterns. You will work in a professional kitchen with opportunities for career development and a better work-life balance during school holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional catering environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safety regulations.
• Experience in education, hospitality or high-volume catering environments.
• Experience supporting or developing other team members.
• Knowledge and experience of pastry.
• Experience managing customer or client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, production and presentation of high-quality food.
• Ensure dishes meet standards and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Support service periods by replenishing and presenting food to a high standard.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and kitchen cleanliness to company and legal standards.
• Assist with catering for functions, events and special occasions.
• Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver excellent catering.
• Contribute ideas for future menus and food development.
• Assist with stock management, orders and kitchen administration as needed.
