Job summary

Queenswood in Hatfield is recruiting a Chef de Partie to join the main school kitchen from October 2026. The role is term-time only, 39 weeks, with a 8-hour day across five days. The team produces over 1000 meals daily, ranging from everyday meals to fine dining, requiring attention to food prep and service.

You will liaise with Catering Managers, external clients, staff and pupils. A commitment to safeguarding and high standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar kitchen role.
• Ability to work in a busy school kitchen and meet high hygiene standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with managers, staff and pupils.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for 1000+ daily with a range including fine dining.
• Maintain food preparation and service to high quality.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
