Manpower Recruitment is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join the catering team at an established college in Oxford City Centre. This hands-on role offers the chance to develop skills in a busy, high-standard kitchen and work with a supportive senior culinary team.

You will be preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to exacting standards, maintaining HACCP compliance and food hygiene while training junior chefs and apprentices in a professional, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong chef stepping up
• Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and presentation
• Understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and health and safety practices
• Team-focused attitude with ability to support and develop junior colleagues
• Flexibility to work a 5-out-of-7 rota, including mornings, evenings and weekends

Responsabilités

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to Executive Chef standards
• Check dishes for taste, presentation and quality
• Manage your station, stock, prep and mise en place
• Support food-cost control by minimising waste and handling surplus food
• Maintain cleanliness across workstation, store rooms and fridges
• Conduct quality-control checks per HACCP and hygiene rules
• Ensure correct storage and rotation of raw and cooked foods
• Check goods on delivery and report quality concerns
• Adhere to health, safety, security and uniform standards
• Report equipment faults and assist with refrigeration issues
• Mentor and train junior chefs and apprentices
• Maintain strong communication with kitchen, food & beverage and other departments
