Job summary

Rockliffe Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in Darlington is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our experienced kitchen team. You will be responsible for a dedicated section, ensuring all dishes meet our high-quality standards and operate safely and efficiently.

You will lead in the absence of the Sous Chef, train junior staff, and contribute to menu development while maintaining excellent guest service in a 40-hour week, with weekends required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen.
• Strong understanding of food safety and portion control.
• Ability to lead a section and support junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Understand GP targets and control portion sizes to maximise profit.
• Monitor delivered goods quality and rotate stock correctly.
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Train and coach junior chefs and support kitchen staff.
• Prepare and present dishes to Rockliffe standards.
• Plan orders with suppliers to ensure stock availability.
• Be flexible to work in other kitchens as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
