Job summary

Wadworth’s Red Lion in Lacock, a historic Georgian pub with rooms, seeks an experienced Chef de Partie to lead a section and support junior team members. You’ll contribute to high‑quality dishes, ensure consistency, and work closely with the kitchen team to maintain exceptional service.

We value pride in every dish, accountability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to food safety and waste reduction. Previous chef experience is preferred, with accommodation available subject to availability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, line chef or a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and take responsibility for your section of the kitchen during service.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes to specification and high standards.
• Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation at all times.
• Mentor junior team members and kitchen assistants to develop skills.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Assist with stock control, rotation and waste minimisation.
• Collaborate with Head/Sous Chef to deliver outstanding service.
