Job summary

Dakota Hotels is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Team. You will work confidently through a busy service, running at least two sections and delivering dishes across all menus including room service and events.

Maintain high knife skills and prep tasks across sections while ensuring a clean, compliant kitchen environment. The role values teamwork, commitment to quality, and a proactive attitude to learning across kitchen areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years professional cooking experience in a full-service restaurant as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef.
• Experience in preparing fish and meats.
• Demonstrates passion for quality food and preparation.
• Hardworking and a team-player.
• Qualifications in Food Safety preferred; training in Health & Safety, Allergens and Food Hygiene will be provided.
• Enthusiastic with a positive culture and pride in work.
• Flexible with shift patterns and availability to meet business needs.
• Candidates should have researched Dakota Hotels and wish to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Be confident in a busy service and run at least two kitchen sections.
• Prepare and cook dishes according to Head Chef specifications for all menus including a la carte, room service, breakfast, bar food, events, and guest amenities.
• Carry out prep work across kitchen sections and maintain knife skills.
• Multi-task during busy service and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Complete a full clean down of the kitchen and keep an immaculate working environment.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front of house teams.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation.
• Be willing to learn and support across different kitchen areas.
