Job summary

St. James's Hotel & Club in Mayfair, London, seeks a Chef de Partie for the kitchen team. You will deliver high standards of freshly prepared, flavoursome dishes and support senior chefs in daily operations.

The role requires 2 years of experience, Level 2 Culinary education and Level 2 Food Safety qualification, with 40 hours per week on a rota including weekends and holidays. Benefits include staff meals, service charge, travel card, training.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a similar role or Demi Chef de Partie progression.
• Level 2 Culinary education or equivalent.
• Level 2 Food Safety qualification required.
• Proven stability in a kitchen environment.
• Strong organisation, communication and planning skills.
• Knowledge of food allergens and UK regulations.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume kitchen.
• Good understanding of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of fresh, flavoursome and well-presented food at all times.
• Support Executive Chef and Head Chef in health, safety and hygiene.
• Work with Senior Sous Chef to refresh menus and dishes.
• Manage and train junior chefs and the kitchen team.
• Carry out kitchen duties ensuring smooth, coordinated teamwork.
• Attend training and team meetings as required.
