About Decimo

Recently voted as one of London's Top 100 Restaurants, Decimo is the debut London restaurant of acclaimed Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias. It blends Spanish family cuisine with Mexican influences, offering dishes like aquachile, suckling pig shoulder, vegan paella, and innovative tacos with unique tortillas. Located on the 10th floor of The Standard, London, Decimo features two bar areas, a main restaurant with live fire cooking, and two semi-private dining spaces with stunning views of the London skyline.

Our Team and Role

We pride ourselves on our diverse personalities and backgrounds. We are looking for a Chef De Partie to join our Decimo Kitchen team, embodying the essence of this culinary destination.

Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee a dedicated section in the kitchen supported by a small team.
  • Manage service delivery and monitor food quality for over 200 covers per night.
  • Maintain passion for cooking, with strong knowledge of kitchen operations and service procedures.
  • Create an exciting culinary environment, incorporating the latest food trends and Spanish or Mexican cuisine experience preferred.
  • Support sourcing ingredients, developing dishes, controlling stock, managing food costs, and ensuring food hygiene and HACCP compliance.
Candidate Profile

This is not a typical Chef De Partie role; it requires personality, stamina, sociability, confidence, and resilience in a high-volume, energetic environment. You should work well independently and within a team.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience, with a minimum of 1 year as a Chef De Partie or Senior Chef De Partie, preferably in a large-scale destination restaurant.
  • Experience with Spanish and/or Mexican cuisine and live fire cooking is a plus.
  • Strong people management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage inventory and minimize waste.
  • Professional culinary and food safety qualifications at level 2 or higher.
