Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our Merrist Wood College Campus in Worplesdon. You will manage daily catering tasks, ensure meals meet high standards, and work under the Chef Manager while sometimes acting as duty chef.

The role runs 37 hours per week across 38 weeks of term-time (0.84), with 7am–3pm hours and occasional 11am–7pm coverage. Salary ranges from £22,601 to £24,592 per annum, with generous benefits and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Sound chef's skills and experience in basic kitchen management.
• Clear communicator with ability to work under supervision and training.
• Willingness to work towards food hygiene certificate if not held.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily catering requirements and ensure meals are prepared to high standards.
• Work under the Chef Manager and act as duty chef when required, maintaining safety and hygiene.
