Job summary

Hastings Hotels in Northern Ireland is seeking a reliable, friendly kitchen professional to join the Everglades Hotel. You will support the Head Chef in supervising the kitchen and upholding Hastings standards of quality and presentation.

This full-time role is 45 hours a week, five shifts across seven days, with a salary of £30,000 per year paid weekly. Benefits include free staff meals, tips, discounts, 29 days holiday plus your birthday, and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality catering operation.
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking is required.
• Current Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Attention to detail and a clean, tidy appearance.
• Good communication and Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the kitchen to maintain Hastings standards.
• Oversee efficient kitchen operation and staff supervision.
• Promote a harmonious working environment with respect and dignity.
• Ensure quality standards and daily procedures are understood and followed.
• Monitor stock control and ordering per Hastings policy.
• Train and coach junior kitchen staff.
• Provide feedback to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain communication with other hotel departments and suppliers.
• Ensure kitchen and storage areas are secure and clean.
• Maintain safe working environment in line with health and safety policies.
• Prepare breakfasts and desserts as required.
• Fulfil Chef de Partie duties and perform other duties as needed.
