Job summary

Alexander Hotels is seeking a Chef de Partie at Barnett Hill Hotel, part of our private collection outside London. You will join a team of 6 chefs and 3 kitchen porters, delivering menus across restaurant, bar, banqueting and room service using fresh local produce.

You’ll work 5 straight shifts totaling 42 hours per week, with opportunities to contribute to menu development and seasonal specials. Generous benefits include holiday entitlement, discounts and staff privileges.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quality environment.
• Demonstrate during a trial shift the ability to produce plated dishes to a 2 Rosette standard.
• Demonstrate flair and creativity to develop hotel menus.
• Live locally or be able to relocate with own transport.

Responsibilities

• Producing food for all service periods in Restaurant, Bar/Lounge, Banqueting, Room Service and Afternoon Tea.
• Prepare, produce and serve food to the standard required in a timely and efficient manner.
• Use fresh local seasonal produce, some grown in our kitchen garden.
• Assist with daily/weekly orders and stock control as directed by Head/Sous Chef.
• Ensure HACCP and food hygiene, health and safety compliance.
