Located in Rowberrow, on the edge of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Swan is a 17th-century Grade II-listed pub and inn, rich in history and a cozy, welcoming vibe.
It is a haven for locals, walkers, cyclists, and visitors alike. The recent addition of five boutique bedrooms above the pub, along with four dog-friendly rooms in converted barns (one accessible), makes The Swan an ideal spot for a rural retreat, family break, or staycation.
We are passionate about great food and drink, offering all-day menus focused on seasonal local produce, pub classics, flatbread pizzas, and award-winning Butcombe beer on tap.
In warmer months, our large beer garden is perfect for al fresco dining or enjoying some sunshine with a pint.
Located just 7 miles from Bristol Airport and 15 miles from Bristol Temple Meads train station, The Swan is an excellent base for exploring Bristol, Somerset, and the Mendip region’s walking, cycling, and dog-walking opportunities.
