Job summary

The Oystercatcher, a contemporary bar and restaurant in Polzeath, is seeking an ambitious chef to join the busy kitchen team. You'll cook with locally sourced produce and help maintain high standards of service.

Working on a scenic coast, you’ll collaborate with a friendly team to deliver quality dishes while following recipes and kitchen procedures. Live-in accommodation is provided and meals are available for shifts over six hours.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes to spec in a busy kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the kitchen area.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak times.

The Oystercatcher is a contemporary bar and restaurant with comfy accommodation that enjoys an enviable outlook over Polzeath Beach and out to sea, from both inside and across its spectacular al fresco space.

You’ll be working at a scenic pub that’s popular among families, couples, and surfers seeking a delicious bite to eat following a session on the waves or a day out exploring Cornwall’s dramatic north coast.

Are you an ambitious Chef with experience of working in a fast-paced environment? Join our talented kitchen team and you’ll be working alongside passionate people, cooking with locally sourced produce to provide quality food that delights our guests. As a chef you will work as a team ensuring the correct procedures are followed and specifications for each dish are precisely met.
