Job summary

TOZI, part of PPHE Hotel Group, is hiring a Chef de Partie in London. You will take ownership of your kitchen section, delivering high-quality dishes for a Venetian-Italian restaurant and cocktail bar.

You will lead junior staff, uphold strict hygiene standards, and work with front-of-house teams to ensure guest satisfaction. We offer competitive hourly pay (£14.89–£18 per hour with Tronc), plus a comprehensive benefits package including holiday entitlement, employee discounts, wellbeing

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar role in a restaurant/hotel/hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Ability to lead and guide junior kitchen staff.
• Comfort with cost controls and stock management.

Responsibilities

• Own your kitchen section and deliver dishes to high standards of quality and presentation.
• Lead by example and mentor Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs de Parties.
• Maintain rigorous food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and minimize waste while controlling costs.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Contribute to menu development and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities as our Chef de Partie:

• Take ownership of your kitchen section, preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation.
• Lead by example, supporting and guiding Commis Chefs and Demi Chef de Parties while ensuring smooth service delivery.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Monitor stock levels, oversee stock rotation and help minimise food waste while maintaining food cost controls.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and service standards.
• Contribute to menu development, process improvements and operational efficiencies within your section.

About You:

• We are looking for a Chef de Partie who is passionate about food and committed to delivering exceptional standards, and will:
• Have previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
• Be passionate about producing high-quality food and maintaining exceptional culinary standards.
• Have a strong understanding of food hygiene, health and safety, stock control and kitchen best practices.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating leadership, organisation and attention to detail.
