Job summary

Thwaites in Burnsall is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our high performing brigade. You will produce delicious food in a well‑equipped kitchen and develop your skills under the Head Chef’s guidance, becoming a valued member of our family who delivers warm hospitality with every guest interaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and deliver high quality food.
• Creativity with a passion for food and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes to high standards in a multi‑section kitchen.
• Manage a section, ensuring hygiene and safety; maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Assist team members and support kitchen operations during service.
• Follow recipes while adapting to the needs of the kitchen and guests.
• Ensure proper storage and stock control of ingredients.

As a Chef de Partie, you will have previous experience in a similar role with the proven ability to produce high quality food, ideally using fresh produce. We do have some recipes that you will follow but a creative flair is always welcomed.

Your day to day a Chef de Partie

• Use your eye for quality and creative flair to produce high quality food from scratch
• As a Chef de Partie, you will manage a section within the kitchen, cooking with fresh ingredients
• Ensure the highest levels of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times
• Maintain areas of work and machinery
• Control the order and storage of food supplies
• Support other team members across the kitchen
