Job summary

Mitchells and Butlers plc is offering a full-time Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship in a busy UK kitchen. You will train while working, learn food preparation, and gain a nationally recognised qualification under experienced chefs.

This 15-month program provides hands-on kitchen experience, exposure to 19 brands, and opportunities to progress within our kitchens while enjoying staff discounts and training support.

Qualifications

• Food preparation and cooking basics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Interest in completing a formal apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Have open communication with the team to deliver outstanding food and service.
• Participate in team meetings and share insights.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly, safely and to brand standard.
• Address guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Keep kitchen and back-of-house areas clean and tidy.
• Set up and close down the department including stock rotation and prep.
• Stay updated with promotions and new products.
• Complete in-house training and learning modules.
• Adhere to brand standards, licensing laws and company policies.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks and records.
