Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc is offering a Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship in a full-time kitchen role in the UK. The apprenticeship runs for 15 months under the supervision of experienced chefs, with a nationally recognised qualification upon completion and opportunities to support kitchen operations while you train.

You will learn on the job with a mentor, gain English and Maths functional skills if needed, and participate in regular reviews and learning sessions as part of your development

Qualifications

• No prior kitchen experience required; willingness to learn and a passion for cooking.
• Strong teamwork and reliability are important.
• Ability to follow brand standards, policies, and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food quickly, safely and efficiently to brand standard.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Set up and close down the department including stock rotation and prep and par process.
• Keep up to date with promotions, products and training modules.
• Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
