Job summary

Aramark Ltd. in Pirbright, England, is seeking a passionate Chef to join a busy catering team at Alexander Barracks. You will prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and for special events, following recipes and procedures while mentoring colleagues.

This permanent, full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week across 5 days with some weekend work, handling stock, orders, and records, and upholding hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• A relevant culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1/2 or equivalent).
• Confident chef who works well in a team and can support large contracts.
• Flexibility, creativity and a passion for great food.
• Ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks (UK residency for past 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus events.
• Follow recipes and maintain policies and procedures.
• Mentor new colleagues and work as part of a talented team.
• Manage stock, place orders, and keep kitchen records up to date.
