Thomas Franks Ltd. in South Shields is seeking a talented Chef De Partie to join our busy kitchen team. This full-time, permanent role offers 40 hours per week and a pay of £15 per hour, with meals on duty and opportunities to work with fresh seasonal ingredients.

You will work in a Monday to Friday operation, providing high-quality catering to pupils and teachers, following our brand standards and maintaining food hygiene and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.
• Ability to read and understand English to communicate in a kitchen environment.
• Interest in delivering high-quality meals and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Work well in a team of chefs providing catering to pupils and teachers.
• Produce food from scratch using fresh ingredients following brand standards.
• Ensure food hygiene and safety policies are followed and wastage is controlled.

Chef South Shields Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £15 per hour

Hours: 40h per week

An iconic family owned British clothing brand based in South Shields. Catering for about 200 people daily. We offer a core feeding of lunch with lots of hospitality and Free Issue. This is a Monday to Friday operation working 52 weeks a year.

We are looking for a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in South Shields.

You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

• To work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

You will have the following skills:

Knowledge / competencies:

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.

• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
