Job summary

Thomas Franks in Manchester is seeking a Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious locations. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, preparing fresh seasonal ingredients from scratch and following our brand standards.

The role is term-time only, 36 weeks, Monday to Friday, with free parking on site. You'll be part of a supportive team, with opportunities to develop skills and contribute to high-quality school catering.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.
• Ability to create dishes from seasonal ingredients and follow brand standards.
• Strong customer service focus and genuine interest in food.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team of chefs to cater for pupils and teachers.
• Prepare meals from scratch using fresh ingredients following standards.
• Ensure food hygiene, health and safety policies, and allergen controls are followed.
• Control wastage and comply with cost awareness.

Job description

A very successful mixed primary school situated roughly 2 miles from the centre of Manchester. Catering for approximately 450 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding lunch and breakfast club. Support with some ad hoc hospitality. This is a term-time only contract working 36 weeks and operates Monday to Friday. Additional beneft for this location is free parking on site.

We are looking for a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Manchester.

You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

• To work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

Knowledge / competencies:

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.

• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
