Job summary

Thomas Franks is seeking a Chef De Partie to join our Manchester kitchen on a full-time, permanent basis. This term-time contract covers 36 weeks at 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of £15 per hour and on-site parking.

You will work in a fast-paced school catering environment, preparing from scratch with seasonal ingredients, following brand standards, and ensuring food hygiene. We value teamwork, creativity, and a passion for great food.

Job description

Contract: Full Time , Permanent
Salary: 15 per hour
Hours: 40h per week

A very successful mixed primary school situated roughly 2 miles from the centre of Manchester. Catering for approximately 450 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding lunch and breakfast club. Support with some ad hoc hospitality. This is a term-time only contract working 36 weeks and operates Monday to Friday. Additional beneft for this location is free parking on site.

We are looking for a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Manchester.

You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

• To work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

You will have the following skills:

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
