Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is seeking a motivated Chartered Surveyor / Valuer to join the Assets team within the Economy & Regeneration Service. You will lead valuations for property transactions and support strategic development across Ceredigion.

The role requires MRICS and Registered Valuer status, plus experience in valuation and estate management. You must be able to travel around the county, and Welsh language level 3 is required with learning support provided.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification with Registered Valuer status.
• Experience in valuation and estate management.
• Confident working independently with a varied workload.
• Skilled in negotiation and engagement with stakeholders.
• Politically aware with a customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel across the county with a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking valuations for all types of property transactions.
• Leading the Council’s annual asset valuation cycle.
• Providing expert advice to internal services and partners.
• Negotiating acquisitions, disposals, wayleaves and easements.
• Identifying new income opportunities and improving portfolio performance.
• Guiding and supporting other team members.
