Job summary

West Sussex County Council seeks a Lead Valuation Professional to manage an estate and valuations service across a broad portfolio, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and development projects.

You will supervise staff, mentor junior surveyors aiming for RICS qualification, and build influential relationships with internal teams, schools and external partners to drive capital receipts and income generation.

Qualifications

• Qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with significant post qualification experience.
• Post-graduate professional qualification relevant to Property, Surveying, Estates and Valuation or equivalent.
• Extensive expert level experience in surveying, property and estate management including landlord and tenant and planning law.

Responsibilities

• Lead on delivering an estate and valuation service across a broad range of property assets.
• Supervise staff and mentor junior surveyors to secure RICS qualification.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with senior officers, external consultants and partner organisations to deliver significant capital receipts and income generation.
