Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in London is seeking a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor to join a growing team. You will lead professional and project-based Building Surveying work across commercial, residential, and property-owning clients.

Key duties include managing projects from instruction through completion, mentoring colleagues, and developing new business while working closely with senior leadership to grow the London practice. Flexible working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with strong post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing projects alongside professional instructions.
• Confident managing client relationships and taking ownership of instructions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional and project-based Building Surveying instructions including due diligence and defect analysis.
• Manage refurbishment, decarbonisation and external works projects.
• Take responsibility for project delivery from instruction to completion.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients.
• Identify opportunities to develop new business and expand the client base.
• Mentor colleagues and share technical knowledge with the team.

If you're a Chartered Building Surveyor looking for more than just another Senior Surveyor position, this could be an opportunity worth exploring.

I'm working with an established and growing property and construction consultancy looking to appoint a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor to strengthen its London team.

This is an opportunity to take on a varied role combining professional Building Surveying, project delivery and the chance to play a key part in developing the London business.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, build lasting client relationships and help shape the future of the Building Surveying offering.

The Role

You’ll be involved in a varied portfolio of professional and project-based work, supporting a range of commercial, residential and property-owning clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering a range of professional Building Surveying instructions, including Technical Due Diligence, dilapidations, defect analysis and planned maintenance.
• Managing refurbishment, decarbonisation and external works projects.
• Taking responsibility for project delivery, from initial instruction through to completion.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
• Identifying opportunities to develop new business and expand the consultancy's client base.
• Supporting and mentoring colleagues, sharing your technical knowledge and experience.
• Working alongside senior leadership to help grow and develop the London Building Surveying team.
