Are you a Building Surveyor looking for greater project variety, genuine career progression and the opportunity to work with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy?

We're working with an established consultancy that's continuing to invest in the growth of its Building Surveying team across London and the Southeast. Due to an expanding pipeline of work, they're looking to appoint an experienced Building Surveyor who enjoys working across both professional services and project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team where you\'ll work on a diverse range of projects spanning education, healthcare, commercial property, government, defence, infrastructure and public sector estates.

No two days are the same, and you\'ll have the chance to develop your technical expertise while building strong client relationships and taking ownership of projects.

The Opportunity

As a Building Surveyor, you\'ll be involved in a broad mix of work, including:

  • Delivering professional Building Surveying advice across a varied property portfolio.
  • Carrying out condition surveys, defect analysis and technical due diligence.
  • Managing refurbishment, maintenance and improvement projects from inception through to completion.
  • Acting as Contract Administrator under JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Preparing specifications, schedules of work and technical reports.
  • Working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Supporting junior surveyors while continuing to develop your own technical and commercial skills.

This role offers plenty of autonomy while providing the support of an experienced team and clear opportunities to progress your career.

About You

We\'re keen to speak with Building Surveyors who can demonstrate:

  • A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • MRICS status or active progress towards Chartership.
  • Experience delivering both professional Building Surveying services and project work.
  • A solid understanding of building pathology, construction technology and refurbishment projects.
  • Experience administering JCT and/or NEC contracts.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, including CDM Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Experience within sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial property, local authorities, defence or central government would be advantageous, although it\'s not essential.

What\'s on Offer?

This is an opportunity to join a business that genuinely invests in its people and provides the support needed to build a long-term career.

In return, you can expect:

  • A varied portfolio of projects across multiple sectors.
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression within a growing team.
  • Ongoing professional development and Chartership support where required.
  • Exposure to multidisciplinary projects and industry-leading expertise.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
